Spring Break

Spring break always comes and goes. We usually do nothing and go nowhere. Not this year! On a whim we decided with our friends the Jones' we would go to St. George! It was a go when we got a fabulous discount at the Marriott hotel using the friends and family rate.

We left Thursday morning, and headed to St. George. When we got there, we walked around the outlet malls. That wasn't working with 7 kids, so we grabbed fast food and went to the park. The kids ate and played. We thought it was awesome we drove all the way to St. George to play at the park! After the park, we found a trail to walk on. The kids ran ahead, looked at lizards and threw rocks in the river. It was fun and the weather was perfectly warm!

Next stop was our hotel in Cedar City. The kids went swimming and then we had an emotional-very tired-crying dinner at Cafe Rio! At least the food was good...yum.

In the morning, we had a nice breakfast at the hotel and then went swimming until it was time to check out. The kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There were several people that walked in and turned around as soon as they saw our group!

After checking out, we headed to another park for a picnic and a hike. Jeremy wanted to make sure the kids trained for our big hike at Arches in June! Celeste still didn't want to use her legs and I had to carry her on my shoulders at one point! Another playground round for the kids and then we headed home. On our way we made a pit stop in Fillmore for a treat and another park. It was amazing they still had energy!

The kids really had a good time together, and I enjoyed the walks and relaxing with friends. It truly was a break!
